Yeah I can understand why you went back. I have madsonic setup for music and plex for video. I just want owncloud strictly for cloud storage and syncing my phone.

You can update within the ownCloud WebUI.

I've rolled a 6.0.0.a PBI and will be uploading that after a bit more testing.

If it works I'll quickly roll a 6.01 PBI, and maybe even a version that includes a few add on apps (OC Dashboard and FileTree initially), and if I'm feeling adventurous maybe even a nginx/mysql version.

Joshua, I may be presuming too much, but I'd figure anyone who'd want a mysql version would already have their own mysql server ( I know I do ) so I'm not entirely convinced we need a jail with a full mysql. But I'll read your thread again to see what kind of response you've gotten.

owncloud 6 is updated! Don't everyone crash the plugin servers with updating. ;)

When I try to update my owncloud plugin from the FreeNAS ui, it starts by downloading and the little download bar goes to 50%. There is stalls for +-10 minutes. Next, the update-window is closed automatically. After that, owncloud is not updated and is disabled. When I enable owncloud, it still works, but is not updated. When I retry the update, the same thing happens. What could I do to successfully update my owncloud?

Yeah.. I'm not using their PBI, so I can't help you. I'm putting together my own jail because the PBI just doesn't perform at a speed that is reasonable. It can take over an hour to sync 45 files totaling about 40MB. Sorry, but that's not acceptable on a system that is horribly overspeced for its load.

I had exactly the same issue. Any suggestions that don't involve recreating the jail and having to sync a 25GB+ of data across several machines

I suggest you start keeping your owncloud data on a separate dataset than your jail (an mount that dataset inside your jail). when you first access owncloud just check advanced and tell it to use your mounted dataset as the 'Data folder'

My guide recommends this, though it's focused on running owncloud from source, not the PBI

same here, guess i'll wait to update...

in the console, it finally says something like 'unable to create pbi patch'
