Xen Initiator Compat Mode

I have yet to find what does this do for iscsi connections to Xenserver? Can anyone enlighten me when they get a chance please and thank you.

Hmm I never ran into an issue with LUNs on Freenas so looks like this is a just in case flag.

Thanks so much relatively new to FreeNAS a little of 2years but it has been a setup and forget for me as I have used enterprise SSDs. I appreciate you feedback on this greatly :)

The Xenserver flag was added shortly after the iSCSI implementation switched to CTL. XenServer and VMWare have(had?) different requirements for the SCSIid and the flag was added to provide compatibility for the Xen format. Here is a link to the forum thread.

The SCSIid requirements for Xen must have been changed since that time if you've had no errors, though I can't say for sure.
