ISO boots and proceeds past selecting "Windows 11 Pro", but gets error message that this computer does not meet the minimum requirements. Maybe if I change the processor profile?

Changed profile to Ivy Bridge, but Scale told me my processor won't support the features. Changed profile to match cpu, Sandy Bridge. No joy.

Discovered on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
that Xeon E3-2130 is not supported (if I am understanding correctly).

Oh well. Life is harsh. I may never virtualize or run Win 11. I'm devastated!

Rufus usb creater can make a USB with Windows 11 "Extended" installation support (Disables TPM/Secure Boot/RAM requirements).
Maybe that will help. I only tested it on real hardware, but it work on an old AMD FX-6350 without uefi bios.

yeah. microsoft is enforcing the windows system requirements in virtual machines., CPU, TPM. Secure Boot and there are steps for KVM for TPM/Secure boot that may not be included in scale at this time.

Thank you kenzu and shadofall. As this was just an experiment, I'll wait for a future release of scale or a tutorial on the necessary bypasses.

Any updates on this for SCALE? I would love to be able to support a vanilla Windows install with secure boot enabled.

If you want to use secure boot enabled you'd need a tpm module that can be passed through to the vm.
I played around with a vanilla ISO of windows 11 and found some commands you could enter during the installation to bypass the tpm requirements and the need for an online account.
I used it to play around with windows 11 before i switched my main pc from 10 to 11.
After that i deleted the vm, but i still have the commands saved you need to use to get it working.

Care to share them? :)

Why not Tiny11? Apparently, it doesn't require TPM or Secure Boot.

Based off of Windows 11 Pro 22H2, tiny11 has everything you need for a comfortable computing experience without the bloat and clutter of a standard Windows installation.

It just uses around 8GB of space compared to the 20+GB that a standard installation does.

If it's just the TPM that's a problem, add a virtual TPM device to the VM. (I guess you could conceivably pass through a physical TPM, but that's dodgy and somewhat pointless in most cases)

If it's about CPU support, things are more complicated.

Instructions for bypassing RAM & TPU Requirements on Windows 11 installer here

You may also want to bypass the network check, if you don't have the VirtIO drivers installed:

My very lazy way of handling the networking was to temporarily use the intel nic during OS install and then install the drivers for VirtIO from within the VM and then flip the device from intel to VirtIO

Can you share a link to docs or info on this. I can't locate it anywhere. I need vanilla untouched win11 installed on machine and a fixed added tpm device feels like the correct and consistant way to solve it
