The syslog, UPS.log, the nginx-access.log, and other logs used to be stored in B:\MyName, where B: is the Windows drive letter to which FreeNAS is mapped. After installing 9.3-STABLE-201509022158, a search of FreeNAS using the command dir B:\*.log /s reveals no logs associated with FreeNAS.

Does anyone know where the FreeeNAS logs are now stored?

Sounds like you need to remap to /var/log. Not sure why the mapping got lost...

Thank you for your prompt help.
I can access /var/logs with cd and list it with ls, and apparently all the logs are there, but is there any way of making it appear at \\FreeNAS\NAS\ or B: to which \\FreeNAS\NAS\ is mapped to? That is the root directory of the primary ZFS volume, and where all the logs were before.

Did you move the system dataset since you made the original mapping?

I did not move the system dataset. I have not changed anything.

Someone from FreeNAS sent me a message describing how to find the log in the GUI by clicking on something, which worked when I tried it. But I cannot find that button now, and I cannot find the message either. Can you please tell me how to access the log from the GUI?

System -> Advanced ->Show console messages in the footer will display the system log at the bottom of the screen. Alternately, open Shell and type more /var/log/messages.
