Tried to find a simple answer but ZFS is not that simple.

Is the error message at start up "Boot Pool uncorrectable I/O failure" another way of saying "the SSD (on which Truenas Core is installed) has failed"

Thank you for your help.

Yes, that's a reasonably good description. If you provide more details, we can provide better answers.

The SSD, in which the boot-pool is installed, is corrupt? No redundancy? Thus, you can't even boot into TrueNAS.

You'll have to install TrueNAS to a new SSD (or mirrored SSDs), and then import your config file.

I am some distance away from the failed Truenas computer hence my vague descriptions. From what I remember the Truenas computer will not boot, a message appears at the point of failure that says (and I am using my memory here so forgive any wrong wording)

SOLARIS: Boot Pool uncorrectable I/O failure

and it stays on this message forever.

The computer was subject to some power issues just before the failure. The power went off, then on, then off and then on again in less than a minute. I have assumed the voltage surges have fried the SSD on which Truenas core is installed and all I have to do is replace the SSD and then reinstall Truenas Core. From there I can access the storage pools on the hard disks as long as they are OK too.

I don't know how to import a config file or even if one exists.
