Hello, sorry for the inconvenience, I need your help...
I have VMs created in truenas, is there a way to export them? in order to keep them safe?
Let me explain better in case the machine with the disks breaks and nothing is recoverable ... I need a way to save the VMs and import them without problems

The config DB contains all the settings of the VM (like location of the ZVOLs for its disks and the amount of Memory/CPU, etc), so taking a backup of the config of TrueNAS is one part.

Then you have options regarding the VM disk (the ZVOL) backup.

Basically you can either use zfs send | recv to put the zvol somewhere else for safekeeping (typically sending a snapshot), or just use the snapshots and a general backup of the entire data pool(s), depending on what you're actually trying to protect against.

For configuration backup:

There's nothing per se in the GUI for backing up a ZVOL, although you can manage the snapshots there:

Once you have one or more snapshots, you can use those to copy the zvol (VM disk/s) somewhere else, either with a replication task (which can even do it's own snapshots if you don't already do them):

or with other options that get much too complicated to try to explain here.

When you have more specific questions, we can proceed to answer them
