User Account Password Keeps Getting Reset

Hey guys.

I have a curious issue. I have an account which I recently altered the password to. I then changes the password back to what it was originally. All seemed well and the changes saved.

I was able to mount my SMB shares as normal, however after about 24 hours, I could no longer mount my SMB shares and was being notified that the username/password was incorrect, though I had not changed any of the account details since reinstating my previous account password.

I logged back into Scale and adjusted the account by inputting my chosen password and saving again, I re-tried my SMB drive mounts, all was fine again! Great. However again, after 24 hours or so...the SMB shares would not longer mount.

I have had to go back and fourth and re-save my password again in scale multiple times.

Something is wrong as my password is either being removed or reverting by the system (Only I have access to the server). This issue seemingly only creeped up when I used my temporary password (Cannot recall what it was).

This issue started on Anglefish (Last version before Bluefin), I thought an upgrade at a longshot to Bluefin 22.12.1 would maybe resolve what was an of bug, but the issue still persists.

Any ideas ? I have not gone to the length or creating a new account yet, as ultimately this behavior shouldn't be happening

Thanks P

I'm having the similar issue, although it only happens after I reboot Truenas.

Depending on exact details of server configuration, it may just be a problem with system dataset setup. Try running midclt call smb.configure -job after boot and see if it works again.
