Anyone out there using FreeNAS with AP9630 via Ethernet?
What do I have to configure on FreeNAS and AP9630 side?

A quick look at the website of the guys that create the UPS service daemon--and the compatibility list--shows that your model does not appear in the compatibility list. Unless I'm missing it.

I can't say specifically about FreeNAS, but NUT does support the 9630/9631 via SNMP.

This works for me:
UPS Mode - Master
Identifier - you can put anythign here.
Drive - APC ups 3 (various) AP9
Port - ip address of the card
Aus Parameters- Line1 mibs=apcc
Line2 community=public <-- if you don't use the default public snmp community put yours in there.
Desciption- you can put anything here
monitor user - your username ie.apc
monitor password - your password ie apc
to email - your email address

It's an old post I know, but so far the only good summary how to configure UPS for an AP9630.

I found that the UPS UI has two places for aux parameters - one labelled "ups.conf" and the other "upsd.conf". Can you clarify which one to enter these into, and what the two options you give (mibs=apcc, community=public) mean? Thanks
