SOLVED Upgraded jail from 11.3->13. Python no longer working; /usr/local/lib/libpython3.9.so.1.0 not found

I know I know. Really late to the 13 part here on some of my jails but this one was working well for a long time and I was hesitant to touch it. So I created a clone and upgraded that so if I screw up I can always go back. So no worries on suggesting things to try.

That said. I'm running into a pretty critical error here in that I cannot get python to run at all. From some linux threads this seems to be a path issue but it's a little beyond me at the moment. If someone can point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

Is the jail 13.0 or 13.1?

What version of FreeBSD did you upgrade the jail to? The Python library is complaining /lib/libc.so.7 is missing API version FBSD_1.7.

I admit I searched for the missing lib file rather than this bit, but maybe I had a typo or something idk. I'll use this search term and see if that closes my issue.

The jail was upgraded to 13.0-RELEASE-p13 and the parent system is running TrueNAS-13.0-U3.1.

Based on a quick search from Volts' suggestion I'm going to upgrade the jail to 13.1 and see if that resolves. Thanks for the quick replies.

Well I definitely have some thoughts about that particular versioning practice.

Upgrading to 13.1 resolved it and python is working. Now to solve the other litany of issues! Thanks for the help guys you can close this one.

I understand that reaction. It helps to remember that TrueNAS CORE versions aren't dictated by FreeBSD, for multiple reasons.
