Unable to change password: Incorrect Password

I log in with my password as "admin", click on the profile and "change password", then I enter the password I just logged in with and a new password.

I did this multiple times, always logging in successfully, always receiving an "Incorrect Password" error, trying all kinds of different new passwords.

I guess I can use the CLI as well, but that kind of defeats the point of the system, doesn't it?

Version TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.0 set up a few weeks ago on a self-built server system.

Actually that's one of the things you shouldn't do (normally).

I think what you're seeing is related to this thread (link to the solution post):

Okay, so the solution was to change the password under Credentials>Local Users, which does not ask for the current password.
Seems inconsistent to me.

I have the same problem. I installed TrueNas Scale in a VM in Proxmox and I can't log in through GUI. I changed the password multiple times and still the same problem.
