Hey all,

anyone else's default certificate expired for their WEB UI?

Create a CA in truenas -> create a new cert and use it... (it will still be not "secure"... in the sense that a trusted thirdparty is backing it.)..
but your browser wont't bother about it beeing expired

You were having to accept an invalid cert anyway, so this shouldn't be a big deal. The simple answer is, as @spuky said, to create a new cert and tell the UI to use that. The less-simple answer is to come up with a way to use a trusted cert and automate updates to that cert. In the latter regard, I have a script in the Resources section that could help.

Thanks yeh I get it now, was something I probably setup on FreeNAS 8 and forgot about until it finally expired.. done well to make it through so many upgrades. Have regen'd a new self signed cert and applied. Called it something meaningful this time rather than something I'll get confused with an actual FreeNAS official thing.
