I have installed Plex server from TrueCharts. they are many more container options.
I am setting up the Server IP address to 192.168.2.5, the same as my TrueNas scale server.
It looks like I can reach the configuration screen from the 'open' button from the application page in TrueNas.
but when I try to reach the plex server, it looks like the IP adresse is 192.168.2.12 or .16... it changes from upgrade to upgrade or from server reboot to server reboot.

am i missing anything? I need the server IP to be fixed to configure the firewall accordingly.

thanks

The actual IP of the container will be 172.something. This is essentially NAT'd behind the NAS IP address. You shouldn't be setting the IP address of the container, K3S will do that for you. Basically you reach the Plex container on http://NAS_IP_ADDRESS:32400

this was the case with 'officiel' Plex package from iXsystems.
things seem to be a bit different with TruCharts package. see attached.

Also, you can use traefik to access the Plex server via FQDN rather than IP.

i will take a look at traefik. thanks

the private ip of plex (192.168.2.5) is showed as 192.168.2.15 and is increasing by 1 at every reboot... .15, .16, .17...
this cause problem in my firewall as i need to forward traffic from port 34200 to the internal ip address.

I'm using the TrueCharts Plex, and didn't specify (and didn't need to specify) a server IP--it's accessible via the IP of your TrueNAS box at port 32400. But the primary support channel for TrueCharts is their Discord server, not here.

i made my plex from the official docker image, if you want i can send my config where i have a static ip set for the plex docker.

As already mentioned, use traefik to put plex on a sub-domain, given that you own a domain. Alternatively you can use MetalLB to put Plex on any ip you want within your subnet (outside of the dhsp range that is).

MetalLB is in the enterprise train. just add the train and refresh the catalogue.

I installed the MetalLB app, however it will not start. I get the below error.

"MountVolume.SetUp failed for volume "kube-api-access-pfr6q" : object "ix-metallb"/"kube-root-ca.crt" not registered"
