I was looking into different devices to use for a slog and ran across the Sun F20 used for $425. Oracle still sells them for $4500 or so but was just wondering if anyone knows if these are a little too old compared to newer SSD's performance wise. For a similar price one could get a Samsung XP941 that seems to have similar performance (though no battery) or maybe raid 10 some Kingston E50 100GB drives to a RAID card with battery backed cache to make a similar setup to the F20 just more wasted space.
