Struggling with Build - Streaming and Camera Storage

Hey everyone, long time reader first time caller!

So long story short, I've been on here for a while pouring over and over threads, and on reddit, and even Unraid forums, trying to build my first server.

I have an entire spreadsheet of motherboards and CPUs, and somehow STILL don't know what to get.

My usage case is:
  • Streaming Plex with transcodes - maybe 4 streams max. No 4k.
  • 4 Eufy cameras storing onto server using RTSP
  • Basic storage - have about 40 TB right now.
  • Currently only using Home Assistant to monitor electricity monitor smart plugs.
  • Syslogging for everything

Where I'm really struggling is trying to find that trifecta of
  • ECC memory compatibility - 128 GB (gonna start with 64 GB but want room to grow)
  • low power usage
  • at least 6 SATA ports and 1 m.2

So thought I'd ask directly, what's a good mobo/cpu combo that would fit that criteria?
My budget isn't extreme but I could spend $1,500 on the entire server.

Case and drives I'm good. I haven't looked into RAM yet but I assume that's a lot easier.

Here's the spreadsheet I'm working with, but it could be anything.

Thank you for any advice, everyone!

It looks like you've already found it...

The Supermicro X11SCA-F has all the required points covered (and would generally be recommended, since Supermicro compatibility with TrueNAS of both types is more-or-less "automatic").

I have seen many users of the forums reporting that they use this board.

That obviously pushes you toward the Xeon E-2278GEL CPU to get the maximum RAM amount possible.

The only challenge is then finding that combination inside your budget... which should be not too hard if you're prepared to look on Ebay or equivalent.

Dang you weren't kidding about the budget part.
Can't even find that CPU on eBay or otherwise!

By the way, got any memory that you're a fan of in particular?

I have used Kingston and Crucial in my systems and not had problems.

Clearly you should look at the compatibility chart for that MoBo.
