My router can see freenas but I cannot access the server's web interface nor can I ping out via the server (or ping it). I've tried static and dhcp and google dns. I even tried restarting nginx and django per a google search on how to restart the web service. No luck. When I originally got the server I had no issues it was a plug and play (ebay 2nd hand rack server, make: tyan) and I just fed it drives and setup like normal via the dhcp address my router gave it, but now I can't seem to get that to load.

I could not find a sticky with a format to submit question / help threads so if there is one please let me know and I'll re-write with that formatting.

I've taken some screenshots if that helps, unsure if imgur is allowed or not. If not, please tell me (again, I couldn't find any guidelines for creating a new post)

Also, I've tried defaulting it but when I do that the console locks up and doesn't respond unless I kill the server (power off) and when it comes back up its the exact same way it was before.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I appear to be unable to edit my post but I have kind of resolved my issue. I was able to load a different version via the boot menu and get something else to load and its working fine... I'll just never try to use statics on freenas again lol...

So ... you had setup your FreeNAS to a static IP and lost connection to it. That was probably due to a misconfigured gateway on your interface.

Easy way is to set it on your router and let FreeNAS on DHCP, the lazy way (that I use by the way ;) ).

In case of further questions, please inform your server specs, FreeNAS version, and router make/model.

Was not working on static or dhcp as stated in my original post. The server is a cheap sub $300 no name from ebay (Tyan ?) has 12 3.5 drive bays and was perfect for about a year. Sadly it only allowed freenas and the seller said it couldn't have anything else on it. I didn't believe him and attempted to plug a usb into it to boot a new OS and it froze and won't even post now lol. Lesson learned. As far as the issues I was having with freenas, I believe that to be an issue related to freenas. But since I can't even get into the server now, I can't troubleshoot it. Maybe someday in the future I'll try freenas again.... but not anytime soon lol

Yes, but:

I was able to load a different version via the boot menu and get something else to load and its working fine...

So:

(1) Assumed working;
(2) Assumed you wanted static IP -> So comment:

Easy way is to set it on your router and let FreeNAS on DHCP

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Not a freenas issue since you are the only person with this problem. Hardware specs and freenas version would be helpful information. Could freenas ping your gateway or other hosts on the network? Why did you have 3 IP address, you can only have 1?
