I'm using TrueNAS-13.0-U4 with a simple configuration and a single user created for a samba share. The pool is encrypted but the dataset is not, but i think it is not relevant to the issue. The issue i encountered is that the share doesn't work after each restart. After much testing i identified the problem as a missing user password after restart. If i update it manually each time the share works just fine. I have recreated and replaced users many times, and the result is the same no matter what i do. The user passwords don't get saved. Hence the share not functioning. I read every post out here on this issue but not found any troubleshooting available.
