Greetings community!

I've got a freshly installed FreeNAS-11.3-RC1 here.

When trying to set a administrators group in SMB service configuration, i get the mentioned error message:

Thanks, but I've also created an new user with its own group. Same issue here when selecting this group.

Hello!

I'd like to echo what @Killom is experiencing. I am using a group I manually added and am receiving this same error. It's causing an issue because I cannot edit any files within my shares, although I can delete/move/copy and create new ones. Any movement on this issue?

Same here.
Is the already a bug report open in JIRA?

When i want to set my own created user as Admin-Group, i get this message. So, not possible to enter it here and change the ACL on Windows Explorer.

Groups with same names as users do not get into the group_mapping.tdb file and so aren't eligible. You can also try adding your user to the existing group "builtin_administrators".
