SMB Home Shares

I am trying to set up home shares on TrueNas Scale and following the documentation it only shows how to do it if Active Directory is involved.

How do you set it up if it is not involved? Specifically, what do I set for the owner?
Also how do I make sure users cannot see other users hole folders if they access via SMB and SSH.

You go to Credentials -> Local users and make sure to create a local user which will be used for that share. Once the user is created, go to Storage, find your dataset, click the three dot menu, and select view permissions to edit them and assign that dataset ownership to your new local user.
