SMART tests results email

I have SMARTR configured but I'm trying to see why I'm not getting any emails with the results.

Checked the documentation to no avail and wondering if anyone could kindly suggest something?

Have you configured email on freenas itself? Does that work?

Ive setup emails but i want to check drive health such as sector reallocation count and the results of the long SMART tests.

Why not just run "smartctl -a /dev/ada#" from shell?

Yatti420 is completely correct (as usual). You will only get an email from the SMART tests if there is a failure. There are some scripts in the forums on how to run the smart tests and send you an email but you will have to create a script, it's not difficult but if you're not willing to learn how to do it then it will not be so easy.

I have been doing this but i can't seem to get to to truncate to a page view. I can see the end result of the SMART read but nothing before it and cannot scroll up.

Any suggestions?

Redirect to file?
add "> ada#.log" after the command

Or use Putty it will allow you to scroll..
