Smart test - bad sectors?

Hello guys,

Just want to ask how may I scan with freenas for bad sectors in my HDDs. Will the intense SMART test pop up all the bad sectors in the drives? Or is there any other test that may I run to scan the drives fully to search for those bad ones?

Is this for new drives with no data or a system that is already build with data in it?

I am already running data on them, managed by freenas, since some months, and wanted to check if some sectors were damaged in the meantime while I was using it

Schedule extended SMART tests, they do a complete surface scan and will report any read errors.
