Hi,
i build a testnas with my old 4 Core Intel 4460, 16 gb DDR3 Ram and the Mainboard MSI H81I.
The Truenas OS is on a USB SSD Drive and the Pool Drives are over SATA.
Now i add a pool on a single WD Red 4 TB with 5400rpm and add a Dataset SMB with a smb share and copy some data on the Storage. I enables Compression LZ4, but not enabled ZFS Deduplication. My Write Speed is under 10 mb/s all over the Time with small and big Files.
Source: Linux server
Destination: Truenas Pool
Connection: 1gbit LAN with 1 Switch
No other Traffic at this Moment.
I know the HDD can more. In my old NAS the same copytask was over 80mb/s.
how i can improve the performance? May the System Drive on USB SSD is the problem (cache)?
Thanks
