I have recently upgraded to Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.6 from Mavericks
I attempted to connect to my FreeNAS via (cmd + K) like I have done in the past, and typed in the IP Address (i.e. smb://192.168.1.xxx). I instantly found that my transfer speeds were awful (~2mb sec), as well as the hard drives taking ages to appear on the desktop, To note, I am connecting via Gigabit Ethernet.
After an initial investigation I found this article (https://dpron.com/os-x-10-11-5-slow-smb/), which apparently turns OFF "Client Signing" which is supposed to get things as they are supposed to be (~100Mb sec). Although many people say this fixed their problem, it didn't fix mine even though my Terminal tells me "signing_required=no", which means it has turned off "Client Signing".
My version of FreeNas is: FreeNAS-9.2.1.5-RELEASE-x64 (80c1d35)
