Hello everyone,

I have two pools on my server, each one has movies that I have downloaded. I run transmission and like to host these files. One pool has a movies share that is for 1080p, the other pool has a share for 2160p files. the problem is AFAIK I can only point to one mount point at a time.

Has anyone else had/have this problem? How did you solve it?

I'd really not like to run multiple Transmission instances (if that is even possible).

First of all don't have separate pools it just complicates things but doesn't usually solve any problems.

I don't think transmission allow you to have multiple download locations. Something like radarr might solve the problem but you will run into hard link problems across pools/datasets.

I didn't end up with two pools by design... it kinda just happened as I needed additional storage now but couldn't purchase 8 high capacity drives all at one time. I had several older 2TB drives laying around so now I have two 8 drive arrays in a Supermicro case.

Can you fit all your data on one pool? If you can you can remove the secondary pool and just add a new vdev to the first pool. This will get you all your storage with a single pool.
