Settings for SSD Pool

Hello guys,
I am planning to update my current NAS with TrueNAS Scale.
As the HDDs are pretty old, I would like to change with some (cheap) 6 * SSDs in a RAID-6 similar configuration.
I am wondering if, once creating a Pool (or even before) there are some specific settings for SSDs (e.g. TRIM, etc.) that I need to take in consideration.

Regards,

I would recommend you read the TrueNAS documentation, it has some good information in there. Additionally the links below in the Resources section:

And look around for other valuable data.

TRIM is a setting that in normally turned off because you may end up erasing blocks more than you really need to thus shortening the life span of the SSD, so people will perform a manual trip operation (usually via CRON Job periodically) to TRIM the SSD's.

Hello @joeschmuck,
Thank you for getting back and sorry for my late reply.
I had already checked the documentation, but you definitely get back with the information I was looking for.

Thanks
