Sabnzbd Download folder

Hey,
Just installed FreeNAS 9.2 and 2 plugins, Sickbeard and Sabnzbd. The instillation went very well with no errors.

While setting up the plugins I noticed that I can not select the Share folder for TV shows. This folder is outside of the jail.
I notice that both SB and SAB have been given their own IP 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 respectively. Could this be the reason I can't select the folder? Server is on 192.168.1.101

You need to set up folders inside the jail that point to folders outside the jail by using the jail storage option in the tree on the left of the GUI.

OK tried that, still not seeing the TV folder.

Make sure the folders exist inside the jail, subfolders don't matter. You could also try setting the permissions to 777 and if that fixes the problem then you have a problem with your permissions.

OK got the download folder sorted. But now have other issues. :/

Yeah it took a bit to figure out the file structure of the jail, and where to mount the jails storage folder.

Source is one of my Samba folders : /mnt/disk1/complete
Destination is : /usr/pbi/sabnzbd-amd64/etc/sabnzbd/Downloads

I also have sickbeard monitor that same folder for downloaded show, it then post processes them and put them in a TV folder.

I spent a few hours setting all this up last night.. I needed to add a storage to sickbeard to read from the download folder of SABnzdb.

1. on the left hand side go to Jails... sickbeard.. storage.. add storage
2. in source I added '/mnt/Data/sabnzbd_1/usr/pbi/sabnzbd-amd64/etc/sabnzbd/Downloads/complete' (yours will most likely be different at the start bit depending on your volume name)
3. in destination I added '/media/DOWNLOADS' . This then created a folder called download that I could point sickbeard to in the webapp.. config.. post processing section

I've also got another mapped storage in sickbeard where it puts the 'tv' completed downloads and renames them. This is then shared with plex and CIFS so I can access it.

Sickbeard it seems scans this folder every 15 mins from what I've read. However it also seems you can add a script to SABnzdb which will run and update sickbeard straightaway, I've not found out how to do this yet.. lol

thanks steve, apparently there is a setup guide somewhere out there, ive looked for that personal blog longer than id like to admit, then finally gave up.... ill just use it without the sab script

I only setup the blog on Friday night so the google bot hasn't had a chance to index it..
