Can you not create VM's with a Ryzen 7 3700X using a Gigabyte X570 gaming motherboard. VM is turned on in the BIOS and I can create VM's fine with Proxmox. I was thinking about moving to TrueNAS but if I can't create VM's then I can't do it. I am getting "Your CPU does not support KVM extensions." Is there a way around this issue?

I have vm's running with a 3700x and an x370 board. Since Scale uses KVM, just like proxmox you shouldn't have problems.

I just realized what it might be I am running TrueNAS as VM on Proxmox so the Proxmox BIOS probably has to be updated to allow Virtualization. Duh.

Actually looks like that was not the issue and it was turn on already.

Scale does not support nested virtualization. you'd have to run it bare metal for it to work
