i created a task, and a server.. to do a local rsync. It was going fine, til i figured out it was blazing away at 8MB/sec. Great performance. I'll use cp instead. 20 years of progress and still cant do a copy without ssb'ing and using the command line half the time. So i disable task, turn off client, disable module etc. Rsync is still running!! I have to kill -9 the process. Oh lunix. The GUI should kill the process for me. Typing is for nerds. I wanna click on gui buttons.

Funny I am having the same issue it looks like. I want to use rsync to keep the backup on another box. For some reason when rsync is done copying the files, the process just never stops. I wonder if because it's about 2TB of data, if it's just too much to look at? Maybe I need to go back to snapshots.

2TB of rsync data could take a few hours. Maybe longer depending on your pool and system performance. Snapshots are probably faster and easier with that quantity of data if the timeframe for rsync to run is too long.

Sounds about right. I am at around 18 hours of 100% cpu every day rsyncing 2TB of data. Maybe syncing snapshots will make more sense.

I'd tend to agree with that assessment.
