Rsync logging

I've created an rsync task to copy between two different nas' and have it working. I now want to create a log file but cannot get freenas to create one. Under extra options I've tried:
log-file= and --log-file=
plus tried saving to log-file=/var/log/rsync-client.log and log-file=/mnt/zfs/rsync-client.log with both but nothing is ever saved. is there something I'm missing or need to do?

rsync page should help.. I haven't done this.. I believe it will end up in syslog if nothing is changed by default..
