removing a pool of dead disks.

this is ... hopefully an odd sort of situation to get into. I recently got a freenas xl mini, ordered 3 10tb drives.
all that is setup and working fine. I also had 3 leftover/unused 8tb drives that I wasn't able to use in my linux machine, I thought I'd add them in here.
and thus begins my tale of woe. it turns out that maybe one of the 3 drives is ok, the other two are dead and unusable. I got one added into a new pool before it died... but only the one drive added. so now I have a pool that's disabled, unavailable and I can't seem to remove it. trying to 'export/disconnect' it just leaves me with a forever spinning 'please wait' circle. it's more of an annoyance than a terrible problem, but I'd still like to fix it.

sorry if I haven't lurked/managed to search around and this is a super common/easy fix. thanks.

OS Version:
FreeNAS-11.3-U3.1
Model:
FREENAS-MINI-3.0-XL+

Have you tried zpool destroy -f <name of zombie pool>?

I've not tried anything from the command line yet; the os is foreign enough to me that I figured I should ask before venturing out and making it worse. first round it seemed to just hang the cli interface in addition to the other browser just spinning.

OK, you'll need to reboot before trying the CLI command again.

yeah, that seemed to get it... eventually. a reboot and then from the gui, I could do the export/drop and delete the pool. thanks. I'm 20% more dangerous now.
