Redis does not run - No errors thrown, just never starts

Hi,

I have been following the Samuel Dowling tutorial for setting up a nextcloud server on my truenas server and it seems I've run into a bit of an issue.

I got to the point where I am configuring redis, and now there appears to be an issue.

one thing I noticed is running the command service redis status yields "redis is not running". I've tried manually just starting redis, setting redis to start and boot and restarting, but it seems it just refuses to run now!

I also tried to uninstall redis and reinstall, but when I took a peak into the config file under /usr/local/etc/redis.conf I noticed that the previous changes I had made (for example changing the default port to 0) were still in place, so it seems pkg delete did not properly delete everything?

Any tips on this? I'm rather new to all of this so I am honestly just trying to learn as I go! Thank you in advance.

Best,
G
