Recommended disc controller

Hi, i did some searching on this topic and I mostly get old threads so, Im asking again.

What is the recomended disk controller these days for a truenas system?

Its for my personal use and my family. I would prefere that it supports suspending the disks when they are not in use. This is preferable due for reducing power consumption and heat. I have fans on all my drives, but the room get heated during the summer.

I currently have eight drives connected and I need to expand for new projects.

I would also prefere that the controller can handle a minimum four drives, cost is always an insue, and be rock stable

Yes it does and the recommendation is not going to change. LSI SAS2008, 2308 or 3008 in IT mode.
