qBittorrent cannot make save path

Hello Everyone,

So over the past couple of days I've been setting up my first ever server and I've finally gotten to installing apps. Following along with Lo-Res DIY's video on qBittorrent and I've hit a snag.

For some reason I can't figure out, it's not letting me change the download folder.

In theory, I should just point it at the folder /Media. Which I've done. But after downloading a test file, I went to check that place and there's nothing there. I decided to right click on the completed download and move its destination to /Media/Movies, but it says it cannot make save path. I opened up the options and noticed that it had changed the destination to /config/downloads/Media.

There is no folder on this server, that I can see at least, labeled config, and accordingly it doesn't have a folder in it called downloads.

I've tried pointing it at the right place starting with /Movies, /Media/Movies, Rust Belt/Media/Movies, mnt/Rust Belt/Media/Movies, but none of it is sticking. The options window never spits out an error, it just adds the config/Downloads/ to whatever I type in, and the "Set Location" window won't let me change it to anything that actually exists on the server.

I'm completely at a loss for what to do. This is my first time ever using any kind of server software so I'm very hesitant to just start clicking buttons, lest I nuke the 12TB of stuff on the server already.

OS Version:TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.0
Product:Z590 AORUS MASTER
Model:11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11600K @ 3.90GHz
Memory:31 GiB
I have 9x 6TB WD drives. Two RaidZ1's and a hot spare all in a single pool.
OS is on a 1TB NVME.
I'm logged in under Root

Hello!

@Peanut plays, you can create the folder, but you kinda need to force a little bit the things. Make an folder(see picture for example) on your server but don't share it yet thru smb (don't hit enable button) and this should work (had the same issue).

For the qBittorrent to enable and to work on that forced path you will have an downsize, if the server closes the path will not work.
1. To make it work again got to apps and stop the qBit.
2. Go to shares and disable the smb share.
3. Go to apps/qBit again and enable it.
4 And again enable the smb share.

Those things are working for me, you dont't see this nowhere in youtube.

Hope it works!
