Hello, i recently installed freenas on to my old pc, and had an old Promise Sata 150 TX4 card laying around and some hdds that i didn't use. '

Well my question is now is there any specific drivers for this card and where can i get them?

As i inserted the card, i noticed that my drives weren't showing up in bios, and figured that it probably shouldn't, so i just continued booting up from the disc and installed freenas, and during the install i didn't see the drives either so i guess i need some drivers now since they are still not showing up under storage>import volume. i have a total of 6 drives that i would like to use, one that i got system on (not showing up, which i guess is normal) and 3 drives showing up (the 3 hdds that is connected on my mobo) then i got these other 2 drives not showing up (connected on that pcie card).

The card im talking about:

Sorry for the bad quality but i guess it's readable ^^
Thanks for any help :)

FreeNAS does not have any facility to install drivers that aren't included with it, so if the included drivers do not support this card you are probably out of luck.

Please note, though, that FreeNAS is not generally well-suited to reusing old hardware. In particular, you should consider 8 GB of ECC RAM a minimum requirement. If your system doesn't meet (and can't be economically upgraded to) that requirement, you should consider a hardware change.

oh damn, but it's actually running verry well on the hardware that i got except for that specific card tho ^^ im only going to use it for some basic ftp sharing between me and some friends so i guess 8TB storage will do then ^^ another question, is it safe to unplug the monitor and only use the web gui? thanks for the quick respond :)

Yes, it always seems to run very well right up to the point where something bad happens and your data gets corrupted.

This controller is an example of what I was referring to in the hardware sticky when I referred to the 99c bin.

It's perfectly safe to unplug the monitor and use the GUI.
