Hello everyone!
I'm planning to switch over from an old Synology to FreeNas, building my own server. The feature i need most is to have a recycle bin which only an administrator is allowed to empty. Synology does have this feature for SMB and AFP shares. I just looked to the manual and only can find an option for SMB shares. Is there another way to have this feature with AFP shares?

It looks like Synology has a customized version of Netatalk. Feel free to make a feature request for this. I can't guarantee when / if it will be done, but it will at least let us make a formal decision about whether it's worth bringing in.

IANAL, but Netatalk is GNU GPL, so I believe Synology has to give you their custom code if you ask them for it. :)
