Tell me why this isn't allowed. To me there isn't any valid reason why this shouldn't be allowed. Not in stripe and not in mirror. Ok the maximum size will be limited to the smallest disk in mirror, but to me there is not real valid reason why this shouldn't be allowed.

I know how to force it that's not my question, why even show that error that is there for no good reason at all. This makes it seem like you're doing something wrong. And forceing something means you're ignoring good practice, ..
There is no good reason in any case that this error should be there ever. Even in a mirror configuration the mirror just would be smaller you could warn that the disk size is only as big as the smallest disk then but still not that error !
