Been running plex on my collection of movies, music and TV shows for a few weeks and ive been very impressed with it (sufficiency to help out by buying apps and donating which will mean im doing my bit to keep a great project going).
It handles TV and movies effortlessly and ive had about 12 test streams running on the LAN all trans-coding before any started stuttering (12 because its a hex core CPU with HT?).
I've also had 6 x 2Mbit streams running over t'interweb before my upload connection was perhaps getting a bit full.
The media scanning has been perfect and after sorting out TV folders and naming, all series links etc work brilliantly.
Music; it does appear its not so hot with music as ive read. The artist view is spot on, happy with that. Albums on the other hand i just don't get.
I may be doing something wrong, but it still shows albums sorted by artist, and i cant click on an album to see whats in it. If i go to an artist, i can see all albums they appear on, but compilations are impossible.
Have attached a screenshot; i cannot see how i can view the complete album, for example, "Radio 2 Saturday Sessions".
If i click on it, i just get the single track. The only way i can get the album is to try to find it in folder view. Also, neither the folder view or Album view has an alphabetical list.
These may be common issues although i don't see many complaining about the album view, or it may be settings/file naming/mp3 tagging etc.
Any info would be appreciated.
