Yeah, I know. A trip into the way back machine. I have searched quite extensively but because the search term is either too vague or too specific I'm not finding the answer I need to what should be a trivially simple question. The answer to this question will determine my go-forward strategy.

Background: I'm needing to solve a very odd (or old if you prefer) problem. I work in a shop where we do a lot of work which requires supporting some extremely old hardware and operating system versions including some truly ancient 32bit stuff, most of which use one form or another of an embedded OS. Some of those ancient OS's we have to deal with do not support versions of NFS beyond v2.

The question is simple, does a current or at least available version of FreeNAS support NFS v2, if so how fully, and if not what is the most recent version that does if any such version ever existed?

Thanks much!

In theory, this should work as FreeNAS' NFSv3 implementation (from FreeBSD) should be backwards compatible with NFSv2. Would be interesting to hear back if all of the ancient clients can successfully connect.
