New install and reimport of setup now no certificate.

I new up a new system and imported my config and now i get "Web UI HTTPS certificate setup failed" is it because when i made the backup of my config i didn't click the box. How can i get that back.

No I haven't I'm hoping when I update that it will fix its self. I've seen some bugs reported with TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.3 that would make mine not useable so I'm holding off on the update.

@oumpa31 yes, it's because you didn't tick the box when backing up your config. I had the same issue.

I can't recall the exact process I followed, but from memory I fixed it by:

- creating a new CA (WebGUI > Credentials > Certificates > Certificate Authorities > Add), so that CA could be used for the self-signing process when creating the self-signed local cert (next step)
- generating a new self-signed local cert (WebGUI > Credentials > Certificates > Certificates > Add) and using the CA from the first step to sign it

I now always tick the box when backing up my config :wink:

Oh, 1 last step:

Set the new cert to be used via WebGUI > Systems Settings > GUI panel > Settings > choose your newly created self-signed cert from the 'GUI SSL Certificate' dropdown

Yup that worked for me to :) hopefully that will help a few others out :) cheers!
