Hi, I feel this is more of an off topic set of questions.

TL : DR
How do I I install GNS3 in a jail if it is possible? If not I'll do a vm.
How do I pull a program that has a gui to my local system if it is hosted/running(jail/vm) on the freenas?

----

I don't really want to install/setup GNS3 or Packet Tracer on my local computer so I am wondering how/if I can use my Freenas 11.1 U6 system to host it. I am thinking a jails or VM.(?) I am more familiar with Packet Tracer and now wanting to move over to using GNS3. Does any anyone know how to install GNS3 in jail? Is it possible? I have created a jail before to run a LAMP stack on freenas 9.3 but I did everything from ssh. How do I pull a program that has a gui to my local system if it is hosted/running on the freenas? I am leaning on wanting to setup a jail to run GNS3 but I am thinking a vm will be easier but I am concerned with a vm requiring more resources to run then a jail would. I could be wrong. I like light weight systems.

Thanks.

Either it has a webGUI or you might be able to redirect the X session via SSH to your local machine. I'm not sure about X in a jail, though.

I am not sure if GNS3 has a webGUI as I have yet to use it and just started looking into it. I know Packet Tracer does not. So I will have to look into the X redirect.
