Hi all,
hope somebody can shed light and educate me. I have a Truenas server built for my home use and I'm currently working with an old Dell pc my brother gave me to use as a test nas to try different things on. It is an older machine but I got it running ok. No serious data on it so if the pool goes "pop" it's inconsequential. However once it was up and configured and I could see it on my local network, Windows could not access the shares on either machine. As soon as I shut the test server down, my shares came back. I gather there is a conflict and I tried changing hostname. Do I need to change domain or another setting to allow both boxes to operate their shares at the same time?
I am literally going to use it as a test bench to get a better feel for Truenas without risking my data.
Both systems are running 12.0 U-4
The Dell is an Optiplex 780
Intel core Duo @ 3Ghz
8GB Ram
Intel NIC
