Hi all,

so i have trouble installing the Monica plugin for about 3-4 months now every so often i try installing again with no succes (dont ask why i think it would work eventually)
but now i have decided to ask around in the forum.
I attach the error message i receive every time it fails.
I had no problems with any other plugins so far.
Thanks in advance!

As can be seen here:

That plugin is based on 11.3-RELEASE, so package support is probably now broken and you can't install the required packages while installing the jail, hence the failure.

You could try logging an issue on the source repo: https://github.com/aoyono/iocage-plugin-monica.git

Or you could propose an update and associated Pull Request if you're so inclined/able.

I have no idea if the plugin creator is still around.

There's a good chance that changing the release to 12.2-RELEASE would be enough to get it going (assuming you run TrueNAS 12)

Hello,

I'm not the monica plugin creator/maintainer, but have done some changes to the plugin manifest (and plugin post installation script), which have now been merged and ported back to the 12.2-RELEASE community index branch (meaning, if you're running TrueNAS 12.X, or actually if it's based on the 12.2 FreeBSD version, it should fetch this changes upon an index refresh). See related github PR/code: https://github.com/ix-plugin-hub/io...6482658c685c8cb84a9294afc4c5781e2e04092afacL8

These changes remove the hardcoded versions of every monica dependent package, which would probably always break the plugin installation during one package minor release.

Summarized, I think the plugin installation should work better now (if you're running 12.X TrueNAS version and refresh the plugin index). If that's the case, you could maybe try installing it once again? Your testing would be much appreciated :)

I just tried installing this plugin on my TrueNAS machine and it seems to install without any issues.

(This plugins is still currently be running the old 11.3 jail version, could be a good idea to start upgrading all the 11.X plugins to 12.2 as well)

I initially installed the plugin and it created a 12.2 jail.
It worked out of the box.
The tricky part was to
1) Update to the newer version
2) Overcome a problem affecting some upload functions with laravel passport keys.

Now i have the latest 3.5.0 version working just fine.
