Minecraft World Transfer

I apologize in advance, as this may be a stupid question.

I am replacing a hard drive in my FreeNAS system, and I want to transfer my kids' Minecraft world to the new MineOS instance on the new hard drive. I have searched and found several pages addressing it, but I either lack the knowledge or the intelligence to figure it out.

I know how to make an archive backup of the world in the gui, and I know the archive file is saved in '/var/games/minecraft'. However, I cannot figure out how to access this location, copy the files (which ones?, which I could probably figure out if I got there), and load them into the same location on the new drive.

I have looked at:

As well as numerous other pages. Several of them state you can move the files using the shell, and that seems to answer the question for most people, but no one ever explains how to do that, and none of the guides I found really explained it well.

I am experienced with Windows, but have very little experience with Linux.

Much appreciation for any support.
