Hi
I just updated to FreeNAS-11.3-STABLE - Release Train for FreeNAS 11.3 [release].
I had Owncloud installed, but now it has disappeared from the plugins. I have seen this Nextcluod.
What can I do, to reinstall Owncloud, or install Nextcluod and be able to recover the data that was saved in with Owncloud?
Thanks and regards.

NextCloud is a fork of OwnCloud. Get the whole story here.

Wrt NextCloud, there appear to be several trains of thought here on the forum. Ranked from highest to lowest in popularity, these are:
  1. An automated script - fastest way to get up and running with NextCloud.
  2. Manual installation in an iocage jail - good for learning
  3. Persevere with the plugin - least successful approach it appears

If you want to stick with Owncloud, I think it should still be possible to use the automatic script from Danb35 and replace the fetch line used for Nextcloud and substitute it with the link to Owncloud.

You could as well use Nextcloud script as is.
However, the first thing you need to know is the version of Owncloud you were using as I think upgrading the database and files with releases that are too far apart isn't supported. You need to do incremental update.

You also need to have the credentials used for the database. With the plugin, I don't know what is involved nor know were to look for the credentials.
