Hi,
I have updated to freenas 11.2 and suddenly the two folders iocage and jails appeared on my storage, which haven't been there before.
How can I delete them?

kind regards
Marcin

Thanks Alecmascot, it removed the iocage folder but not the jails folder. When I click on Shell in the backend nothing happens, is this normal? Couldn't open a shell from there so I had to switch to the computer and enter it locally to make the command work.

Those will be ZFS datasets created by iocage for for jails in FreeNAS 11.2. If the iocage jail service is currently running then you likely won't be able to delete those datasets. Also, why would you want them gone so badly?

Hi scrappy,
first of all I never touched the iocage jail service prior to the update of the latest release. I had a clean Network drive with folders I knew I created myself. It's strange that the jails folder appears just after the update, and yes I don't need to see it, but I can't get rid of it either.

Don't quote me on this as I don't know for sure, but I would venture to guess iocage automatically creates those datasets as part of its startup service from FreeNAS. On FreeBSD you can simply disable iocage in your rc.conf (or by not installing it), but I don't know how you would go about disabling it under FreeNAS.
