Is it just me or anyone else not able to clearly see the attached images?
Works for me.

Ouch, 2.25TB written on a 40GB disk? That's a lot. Not really an issue, but damn, did they abuse that thing.

The pictures look fine to me. With SSDs, hours really don't matter - the big issue is how much they are written. The 40GB 320 was specced for a lifetime 60TBW - so you've exhausted about 3.75% of the life of that drive.

I'm running a pair of 320s for my boot devices (mirrored). The oldest of the two is at about 16TB written - still running just fine. In short, go for it, and back up your configuration file just in case (you should be doing this anyway, regardless of the boot device). Ensure SMART monitoring is configured (again, you should do this anyway). If you're sufficiently paranoid (as I am) and have the ports and space, add a second boot drive and mirror them.

thank you for your replies - i was reading this incorrectly - i thought for some of the raw attributes which were at 0 meant that they were at 0% (media wearout indicator and available reserved space)

i did some research and intel says it's under warranty until jan 2017. the writes per day spec is 20 GB (my actual is 1.8 GB ). 20 GB (per spec) per day x 1240 days = 24.8 TB - i've only used 2.25 TB

whoo Hoo that was a good $25 well spent.

I've installed freenas on it now and it's much faster than the sandisk cruzer usb drives i was using
