Hello everyone!
Sorry for my english!

I saw the picture in the document.
AppsAdvancedSettings.png

The picture shows that IPv6 can be set.
But my WebUI is not same to it.

I try to set Node P to ::, this will cause "Node notready" after `k3s kubectl describe node ix-truenas`.

What should I do to use ipv6 to request my app?
Can anyone help me!

You might have to use the API instead of the GUI to set those settings until it ends up getting added to the GUI.

Hello,

I have exactly the same question / problem. Right now the SCALE Apps are not accessible via IPV6. E.g. I wanted to use the Nextcloud App and access it via IPV6 from Internet. I only can use IPV6 because this protocol is provided by my DSL provider only.

So the problem is that Nextcloud (and in my eyes all other SCALE Apps) do not listen on the IPV6 interface for new connections and are therefore not usable with IPV6.

If there is the possibility to enable IPV6 using API or any other way it would be great if you could tell me how to do that.

Thanks!

Frank.

To be clear on this:
We officially do not support IPv6, even if someone manages to find a hack to enable it.

We've just added initial support for dualstack services.
Sadly enough, this is not enough to guarantee full dual-stack functionality. That might require some work on iX-Systems their side as well.

It's best to file a Jira suggestion for "DualStack" IP support.

Hi all,

has there been any update recently? I am new to TrueNAS SCALE and pihole from the truecharts repository is one of the first containers I am running. Obviously it also needs to reply to IPv6 DNS queries.

Thanks for your support.

As explained by us right above you, we have already have done everything on our side that we can.
It's not an App specific issue and you will need to contact iX-Systems instead.

Thanks. I think I got that and I don't claim an app-specific issue here. My question was more about the general functionality and whether iX-Systems have changed anything in particular.

Is there any update on this topic. I'm in the process moving from core to scale and the lack of IPV6 support on the apps is a big no-go.

You can add an interface to one app and give it a static ipv6 address.

We highly advice against bypassing the kubernetes stack this way with our Apps.

Still doesn't appear to be enabled even on 23.10-RC1. I am really surprised but this. It is a big deal, ipv6 is quickly getting broader access than ipv4. My ISP globally routes ipv6, but uses private non-routing ipv4 addresses.

Hello everyone, please tell me if you managed to solve the problem with access to applications via ipv6, in particular I am interested in access to nextcl
oud. other applications such as emby work without problems. Hope for any help
