how to check for checksum using sha256

I know simple question to most.

1) where do I get sha256.exe
2) how do I check the 9.3 upgrade file
3) OR, is there just a checksum value for the 9.3 download somewhere I plug in?

Sha256.exe? What is that?
If you are upgrading, FreeNAS does the check for you from the GUI upgrade

sha256 can check mannualy for example with Total commander, but it is a shareware file manager.

I have version 9.2.1.7 release x64, the FreeNAS does not do the check. show exactly how do i get the checksum value to put it in the field in order to upgrade to 9.3

When you go to the upgrade button, after uploading the upgrade file it asks you for the sha.

You get the sha from the same place you downloaded the upgrade file....

sha is listed right there in a txt file

Well I downloaded the GUI Upgrade version suggested at http://download.freenas.org/9.3/RELEASE/x64/
and used the checksum in the text file "a89cddc3804ea9b6455d620ca976cd0708af79696683ed597264c197719f8da7"

and got an invalid checksum error, ugh!
