how connect SATA drives to HBA card

You use a cable that plugs into one of the M1015 ports and breaks out to 4 seperate SATA cables. That card can run 8 SATA disks directly

yeah but i just cant see how to find these cables ; i mean the ones that will works properly.

the guy told me he tried to connect SAS cables to SATA drives and it doesnt worked... he was saying that sas connector fit sata drive... strange.

Look for "breakout cables" from the connector on your HBA ("MiniSAS" = SFF-8087 or "MiniSAS HD" = SFF-8643) to 4 SATA/SAS. The drive side connector does fit both SATA and SAS—as intended by SAS specification. Better still: Find a vendor which provides the card and cables as a bundle.
To work properly with SATA drives, the cable must be short (typically 45-50 cm); longer cables (75 cm -1 m) are structly intended for SAS drives and typically causes random CRC errors if used with SATA drives.
