Hello I'm wondering how do I set up jails IP addresses on my setup that is on digital ocean since I only get one public IP and one private IP per VPS

I tried doing the same IP that was assigned to it publicly and it won't accept it and I tried doing the one that was privately assigned to it and the same thing happened

Is this setup for learning TrueNAS or actually storing valuable data?

Any particular reason for not just using "regular" storage from Digital Ocean? TrueNAS requires direct access to disks, so in case of issues you may loose data.

There's only add-on storage I can do from digital ocean Plus my data isn't important enough to go through the hassle of that. The reason why I'm doing this is because I find it better to have something in the cloud for storage instead of on premises because I don't have anything else I can host it on

At least at the moment TrueNAS does not really work like this. If you are ok to treat this is a non-production system and therefore accept a possible loss of data, it should be ok. You should also be able to find other posts on this topic, which may have more information
