Hi,

I recall reading somewhere about a SMB or ZFS flag which could be used to set the size of a shared home folders to have a maximum amount of storage available for it?

so user1, user2, user3

Each folder could only have a max of 2GB stored within each of them.

Do you happen to know how can we achieve this?

Are you referring to "quotas" which work on a per-dataset level? (Not simply "folders".)

Not quotas, yes, that one is per dataset, I recall seeing a flag somewhere years ago and couldn't get it to work, just wondering if perhaps there is a better way to do it nowadays.
Thx,

zfs_core:base_user_quota=1G

add this to your SMB share aux parameters.

Which you can't do if using Scale as aux parameters has been removed. Presumably you can with Core still

I Still have core where this is setup at, any thoughts of an alternative to it in the SCALE world?
Thx

Thank you!! Will give it a try
To confirm, this would be within the auxiliary parameters, as shown below?
Thanks,
